Borosilicate desiccator’s bodies and covers are designed for strength and utility. The body has a streamlined contour fro easy clearing of used desiccant, any desiccant such as Sulphuric acid. Phosphoric pent oxide calcium chloride or silica gel can be used. Vacuum type desiccators, when ground surface is cleaned and greased will hold a vacuum 500mm of mercury over 24 hours period. The sleeve type design is compact and less easily damaged than the stopcock design, and has only one detachable part, it is now provided rubber ring. |
